Hello loves! It’s been a while since my last post.
On this read, I share about my lash lift and tint experience that I had recently.
It’s been years that I have been procrastinating on getting my lashes done. As an Asian woman, I am blessed with super thin and “barely there” lashes. I’ve tried ALL types of mascara that promises to boost your lashes and makes them longer but to no such luck. I’ve been researching about the different types of eyelash extensions and while many of them looks gorgeous, some leave your lashes sticky and gross. I wanted to have something wispy but also look natural.
Part of my reason to wanting eyelash extensions, is the fact that I don’t need to apply mascara on. You wake up and you look like you are already made up without the effort. That’s my kind of look.
While I was scrolling through Groupon to find deals, I saw a procedure called lash + tint. I read all about it and looks very promising. Great lashes minus the fake ones. They are also cheaper than getting extensions.
After hours of research for an eyelash technician, I found this place called Spa Raquel. I scheduled my lash lift + tint and I was super excited for it.
The day of my appointment finally came and I was so looking forward to it. I met the spa owner/eyelash technician, Raquel. She was so sweet, upbeat and very accommodating. She just got done with a client when I got there. One of the deciding factor I was looking for in an eyelash place was the aesthetics and she had that down. Her spa is very welcoming and relaxing.
We talked about what I wanted and she assured me that I am making the right decision, choosing the eyelash lift over the extensions for now. You can tell that she has a lot of knowledge of what she does and I felt at ease that I went to the right place.
She then told me to lay down and close my eyes. She began by putting those sticky pads on my eyelids for my lashes to stick on. Then she proceeded by lifting my natural lashes and had it stuck on that pad. We let that sit for about 15 minutes or so. After that, she then began to put tint on my lashes to make it darker and looking fuller. That took another 15 minutes. The process was not painful and very relaxing. We were chatting while the lash tint was setting and the serene music almost made me fell asleep.
Then the BIG REVEAL!
I am so happy with how it turned out. I see that my natural lashes are lifted and looks fuller. I can’t get over the fact that they are my own lashes. I couldn’t believe she was able to lift that much lashes out of my eyelids LOL! She told me to not wet my eyes for 24 hours nor wear mascara.
The next day, we attended my husband’s cousin’s wedding and I was able to finally wash my face and wear mascara. I was so excited with how it was going to look with mascara on. I was shookt!
I am seriously hooked with getting my lashes lifted and tinted. The fact that I have my lash lady, makes it even better. I get compliments with my lashes and the mascara I use, so I’m going to share them as well.
The Physicians Formula comes with those fibers that you apply after the mascara but I am not using it since my lashes are already pretty long.
